How I got here

I didn't come to dog training through a classroom. I came to it through dogs. Early in my career I got pulled into the world of working dogs — the kind that need to hold composure while chaos happens around them — and I never left. Over the years I've worked with every breed, every temperament, and every level of trouble you can imagine.

The K9 side

Becoming a certified police K9 instructor was the turning point. Training working dogs — dogs whose reliability is the difference between a good outcome and a bad one — taught me something civilian training almost never does: dogs aren't fragile. They're capable. What they need is structure, clarity, and a handler who knows how to lead. Most of what I learned about household behavior problems, I actually learned on the K9 side.

Why I built P&R

I kept meeting owners who had done everything "right" — watched the videos, hired the trainers, bought the books — and still couldn't walk their dog down the block. The training they'd received wasn't wrong. It was incomplete. It taught commands without rebuilding the dog's state of mind. So I built the P&R Essentials Program to do both — in the environment where it matters, and over the timeline it actually takes.

Why only five at a time

I could run a bigger operation. I've chosen not to. Because your dog lives with me for three weeks and you work with me personally for five more, I cap every cohort at five dogs. That's how each dog gets the attention they need, and how every owner gets the coaching they paid for. It's the only way I know how to keep the results consistent.
